Every time you think Arsenal have done the Arsenalest thing in the history of Arsenaling, they go and out-Arsenal themselves yet again.
Is this worse than ‘Gooners and We’re Gunning’? It’s in the same ballpark at least (pun intended).
Now we know Arsenal’s old ground was nicknamed ‘the library’, but one young fan seemed to be taking things a little too literally during the first half of the Gunners’ 2-0 EFL Cup quarter-final defeat at home to Southampton.
Oli Shorts, who describes himself on Twitter as a ‘foolish Arsenal supporter’, spotted someone in front of him who was clearly keen to avoid being labelled with the same description.
Yep, that appears to be a fan doing their homework while sat in the stands.
The kid infront of me at the Arsenal Southampton game has spent the whole first half doing his homework. Can't make this up. pic.twitter.com/WKij8w3foP

We’ve all been in the position where we’ve got a deadline coming up and other social commitments that we can’t get out of – that’s just life.
Normally you’d probably just bite the bullet, stay up late to finish the assignment and miss out on a couple of hours’ sleep.
Not this youngster, though. He clearly had the foresight to know the Gunners would struggle early on (perhaps he’d seen the starting line-up) and – with a bit of luck – missed Jordy Clasie and Ryan Bertrand scoring for the visitors.
@boydhilton to be fair – he's probably had more fun than the rest of us who've had to watch the football

Perhaps he wanted Arsenal to wait to play football until after he’d finished his work – he might want to be a little more specific next time, though.
