If the question is ‘what’s better than beer’, the only acceptable answers are ‘more beer’ or ‘free beer’.
One step up from that is free beer that you didn’t know you were getting.
“But JOE, that’s little more than a pipe dream – something like that couldn’t possibly exist in real life,” we hear you say.
No, my son. You should know by now that 2016 is opposite year – haven’t you been reading the news? So of course free beer delivery is a thing.
It’s the brainchild of pub finder app MatchPint and fantasy football game Dribble, who have collaborated on the #XmasBeers project.
We launched our #XmasBeers campaign today! Got a mate in #LDN who deserves a free @SambrookAle? Send them one now – https://t.co/QpkT6zn4xZ pic.twitter.com/ThuRoVs3LH

“Christmas is a time full of socialising and festive drinks, but we all have those people we’d really like to see and those we have to,” MatchPint’s Mark Weston said.
The campaign will run until December 16, and allows you to send a bottle of Sambrook’s Pale Ale to any address in London’s Zone 1 and 2.
‘Send some suds to a pal you actually want to catch up with this December and make sure they repay you with a proper pint sometime soon,’ MatchPint and Dribble suggest.
You can send a beer to anyone in the applicable areas by filling out this form.
