Plenty of people would have forgiven Joe Hart for leaving the field during Torino’s Coppa Italia defeat to AC Milan.
The England goalkeeper was caught by the boot of Milan forward Gianluca Lapadula during the second half, leaving him bloodied and resulting in a yellow card for the Italian.
But Hart was bandaged up and kept going, though he couldn’t prevent goals from Juraj Kucka and Giacomo Bonaventura handing the hosts victory.

Once it was clear that Hart was relatively okay, and not in any immediate danger, attention soon turned to mocking his new look (as often tends to be the case).

Hart will likely be fit to start Torino’s next game, which just so happens to be against the same opponents in Serie A on Monday.
SiniÅ¡a Mihajlović’s team are currently eighth in the league, seven points adrift of their upcoming opponents, after finishing last season in the bottom half of the table.
