When people claim Andy Carroll is capable of carrying a football team, they might be speaking more literally than we realised.
The England international striker scored one of the goals of the season in West Ham United’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace, sending an acrobatic overhead kick flying beyond Wayne Hennessey.
And during his celebrations a couple of eagle-eyed viewers saw the 6’3″ striker showing off his super-strength.
With Sam Byram, Sofiane Feghouli and Manuel Lanzini all heading over to congratulate Carroll on his goal, only the third time he has found the net this season, lesser men would have gone in for a high-five or a hug.
Not Carroll, though. Instead he decided to lift not one, not two but all three of his teammates off the ground.

The goal itself received plenty of praise, and people are already suggesting it could rival Olivier Giroud’s scorpion kick for goal of the month honours.
We’re sure West Ham fans won’t be too bothered on that front, though – they’ll be happy enough with three points and one of the most impressive London Stadium performances to date.
And we’re still torn on what’s more impressive – the goal or the display of strength.

To think the most beautiful 2 moments in the past 2 months in the PL have come from Olivier Giroud and Andy Carroll. #MOTD

Kinda wild how the ball seems to rocket off Andy Carroll's foot even in slow-motion replays…
