Most of us start our mornings with a bowl of soggy cereal, a cup of instant coffee and a healthy serving of existential dread.
But all of that could be in the past, thanks to a spectacular new device. It’s called BCN6BK, or more simply the Bacon Express, and it could revolutionise your breakfast.
Bacon is the king of breakfast foods, there’s no doubt, but it’s not the healthiest way to start the day and requires a lot of pan/grill cleaning after – not ideal when you’re already 10 minutes late for work.
The Bacon Express looks set to change all that. It’s a kind of ‘bacon toaster’ that you can pop up to six strips of streaky bacon in. The Bacon Express then cooks the bacon on both sides simultaneously – no need for flipping. In a few minutes, you can be tucking into the easiest bacon sandwich of your life.

“Simply adjust the illuminated dial timer to your desired cooking preference, and allow the unique vertical cooking method to drain away fat and grease for fast, healthy cooking,” the product description says.
“Cool touch handles make it easy to open the doors and view the cooking process. When done cooking, the non-stick cooking plate and insulated door liners remove for easy cleanup.”
Unfortunately, it seems that you can’t buy the Bacon Express direct from maker Nostalgia Electrics, but you can check in here to see if anywhere offers it.
Metro reports that the device costs $40 (£32), which is a small price to pay for any bacon fan.
