"It’s not just about the flat, it’s about a life."

Marco Robinson, a millionaire who was forced to sleep on park benches during his youth, has announced plans to give away a £120,000 home for free.

The entrepreneur and property developer, who owns more than 100 properties worldwide, will donate the three-bedroom Preston property to an individual or family who he deems deserving.

In order to do so, Robinson will launch a documentary on Channel 4, in which he will choose from potential candidates.

“I started investing profits into property and learned where were the best places to buy,” Robinson is quoted as saying by the Lancashire Evening Post.

“Now I want to give something back – to give someone a lucky break like I was given when I was starting out, so that’s why I’m giving away one of my properties.”

“I’m not just going to disappear either, I’ll help them acquire an income if necessary and I’ll pay the council tax as long as they need the support.

“It’s not just about the flat, it’s about a life.

“I hope too that I can inspire other people like me – people richer than me – to look at doing something similar.”

The property is fully-furnished and mortgage free. Those interested in being considered can email apply@myfreeproperty.com, visit www.myfreeproperty.com or the Facebook page @ThePropertyProgramme, or call 03300415105.
