Don’t worry, Phil Jones will come good when he’s matured a bit and found a regular position.
What’s that? He’s now 23, has spent four years in Man United’s first team and just got skinned by Giorgio Chiellini for Italy’s opening goal against England? Oh, good God.
It’s no surprise that Twitter was just as unimpressed as JOE by Jones’ woeful defending, with the BBC’s chief football writer Phil McNulty even suggesting he’s “a danger to himself and others”. Ouch.
Phil Jones. A danger to himself and others.

Phil Jones should not be getting done by a centre half on his weaker side there. Really poor from him #ITAENG

Only a matter of time until Phil Jones smashes into an opposition player, and the two merge to form some hideous, mangled hybrid.
