How many of these have you passed through on your travels?
For many travellers, airports are places to be endured rather than enjoyed on your way to or from an intended destination, but some do their best to make the experience as tolerable as possible.
Singapore Changi Airport is obviously doing a pretty decent job of doing just that as, for the fifth year in succession, it was voted as the world’s best airport by air travellers at the 2017 Skytrax World Airport Awards.
The awards are based on millions of passenger surveys and it’s probably no surprise that Singapore topped the chart once again considering that included amongst the facilities available to passengers in its three terminals are two 24-hour movie theatres (in which passengers can watch movies for free) and a rooftop swimming pool.
Munich Airport, Zurich Airport, London Heathrow and Frankfurt Airport were the European inclusions in the top ten, while Dublin Airport (above) made the list at number 77; you can see the top 100 in full here.
