The new movie by the director of In Bruges looks hilariously NSFW

This could be one of the film's of the year

A potential film of the year candidate…

We’ve gotten our first extended look at Martin McDonagh’s new film, the catchily titled Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and we’re very impressed with what we’ve seen so far.

Plot’s it all about?

The acclaimed filmmaker won the hearts of audiences with movies such as In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths and The Guard (executive producer), which were well received by audiences around the world.

His latest movie stars Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell in a tale of a woman whose daughter is murdered, and her anger at the police over the seemingly dead end of their investigation.

Mildred Hayes (McDormand) plays the foul-mouthed mother who erects three billboards questioning the police and in particular, William Willoughby (Harrelson), the local police chief.

McDonagh’s trademark humour, black, caustic and no-holds-barred are on show for all to see in what looks like being a movie not to be missed.

Starring: Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish, Lucas Hedges, Željko Ivanek, Caleb Landry Jones, Clarke Peters, Samantha Weaving, John Hawkes, and Peter Dinklage.

Release Date: None confirmed yet, expected later this year.
