WATCH: Stormzy launched his tour in Dublin last night and the place was absolutely manic

Paul Moore

He still has goosebumps after a “genuinely emotional” gig. Absolute scenes.

After his superb debut album Gang Signs & Prayer went to the number one, 2017 was already shaping up to be Stormzy’s year but if you’re looking for further proof of his brilliance, you’re going to see it firsthand very soon.

For those of you that were lucky enough to get a ticket to see any of his upcoming gigs, you’re about to experience one of the wildest, most energetic and adrenaline pumping concerts in a while because the grime artist is back on the road and if his gig in Dublin is anything to go by, you’re in for a treat.

Even before Stormzy arrived in Dublin, there was a massive mural created to mark the occasion as hordes of people also queued to catch a glimpse of the man himself. He even posed next to the mural!

After seeing all of this love, there was only one way that Stormzy could respond.

Like so many of his fans, the Irish crowd were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the hottest name in music right now, and he didn’t disappoint.

Take a look at some of this footage from the gig at the Olympia Theatre.

Mother. Of. God.

Just feel that energy.

You’re getting way too big for your boots… what a gig @stormzyofficial #GSAP ??

If you’re excited about seeing him live over the next few weeks, it seems that Stormzy is only getting better and better as a live performer.

There’s a genuine connection that he has with his fans and we’re jealous of anyone that will be experiencing that in the flesh.

What a man.

If you happen to be looking for Stormzy’s upcoming schedule of live gigs, here it is. Enjoy!
