Tastes different.
How do you solve a problem like Mary? Well, the producers have opted for a mix of the same and something completely different in an effort to appease the 14 million people that absolutely love the Great British Bake Off.
Now that it has moved over to Channel 4 and replaced Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins with The Mighty Boosh’s Noel Fielding, Prue Leith and Sandi Toksvig, there’s a very different feel to this adaptation.
Of course, Paul Hollywood is still there along with various other familiar sights.
Yes, the linen, baked goods and smiles are there for all to see, but something just doesn’t feel right.
The Bake Off marque seems to have been jettisoned in favour of a brick wall and while we’re still waiting on a premiere date for the new series, fans of the show are already speculating about whether or not if the lineup has the right mix of ingredients.
Good things come to those who bake.

Will the new version of Bake Off manage to match the high standards that the BBC incarnation made?
As always, the proof will be in the eating and viewing.
