Usain Bolt has won gold in the Men’s 200m final at the World Championships in Beijing. It means he has completed the sprint double, and left Justin Gatlin ruing the fact he was born in the same era.
Bolt was in total control form start to finish and powered out of the bend to take a commanding and unassailable lead. In the end he won at something of a canter, crossing the line in 19.55 seconds, with Gatlin trailing at 19.74.
South Africa’s Anaso Jobodwana claimed bronze with a national record of 19.87.
