The general election has the capacity to change the political landscape in the UK, and while this will undoubtedly change the day-to-day normality of life, Greggs have made their own effort to steal some of the focus from the policies of Mr Corbyn and Mrs May.
Yes, you can now order some buns, sausage rolls, sandwiches, cakes and biscuits from the comfort of your own car.
How’s that for a game changer?
The very first Greggs drive-thru has been launched in Irlam, Salford and it’s open from 6am to 9pm Monday to Friday. If you’re popping in for a pasty over the weekend, the opening hours are from 7am to 7pm on Saturday and 8am to 6pm on Sunday.

This service is being tested with a view to a potential nationwide roll-out, but here’s hoping that it’s successful because we reckon that a chain of drive-thru’s selling Greggs goodies would prove to be very popular.
Roger Whiteside, Chief Executive for Greggs, said: “When it comes to food on-the- go, our customers tell us that convenience is key. We’ve been working hard to take Greggs to where our customers need and want us to be including office parks, industrial estates, retail parks and travel hubs. drive thru offers the ultimate convenience and seemed the logical next step for us to take. This is a first for Greggs and we are excited to trial the concept in Irlam, Manchester.”
