Featuring one of the best horror films in recent memory.
If you’ve got serious Glastonbury envy, here’s hoping that some of these titles on Netflix will help.
You’re Next
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 75%
Plot:Â One of the smartest and most inventive horror films in recent memory, You’re Next puts a fresh twist on home-invasion horror. When a gang of masked, axe-wielding murderers descend upon the Davison family reunion, the hapless victims seem trapped. Unknown to the attackers, they’ve probably picked the wrong home to visit.
Ok, Adam Wingard’s film has been added-removed-added-removed to Netflix for a while, but it’s back and if you haven’t seen it, it’s a great watch for horror fans.
Watch it if you fancy: A really good home invasion horror that has plenty of exciting death sequences and a strong plot. It’s back on Netflix and horror fans will love it.
XX
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 72%
Plot: An all-female helmed horror anthology that features four dark tales. Annie Clark (St. Vincent) rocks her directorial debut with The Birthday Party; Karyn Kusama (The Invitation) exorcises Her Only Living Son; Roxanne Benjamin (V/H/S trilogy) screams Don’t Fall; and Jovanka Vuckovic (The Captured Bird) dares to open The Box.
Watch it if you fancy: Ever seen the horror anthology V/H/S? This is very like it. Some segments are strong, others aren’t, but it’s enjoyable.

But a visit from his old colleagues at the Met brings a shocking piece of news that draws him back to London in search of the truth. Meanwhile, a gruesome serial killer has struck the city, eating body parts as he goes.
Watch it if you fancy: A recap ahead of news that we’re getting another season of Idris Elba’s unhinged detective.
Ok, this season wasn’t as good as what came before it, but it’s still better than most other shows. If you haven’t seen Luther yet then you’re really missing out.
