He’s doing well and is off to hospital after this sickening smack of the cricket ball.
We’re happy to report that Nottinghamshire’s Luke Fletcher is recovering after suffering a horrific blow to the head during tonight’s match against the Birmingham Bears.
The game at Edgbaston was delayed for more than 30 minutes after this sickening thud that resulted in the players leaving the field.
In fact, the Outlaws’ Head Coach Peter Moore even came out to talk to the visibly shaken players during this break in play, such was everyone’s concern for the welfare of Fletcher.
The 28-year-old was accidentally struck on the head by a straight drive from Sam Hain.
Thankfully, despite the fact that he was bleeding from the head, he managed to walk off the pitch with the help of a physio and it appears that he’s on the mend.
Hopefully Luke Fletcher is okay after this bizarre accidents, thoughts are with him. #t20blast #NottsvBears https://t.co/0udIfArAyS 🏏
