If you thought transfer deadline day couldn’t get any more exciting…well maybe you’re right, but hear us out.
Gary Lineker will be grateful for the upcoming international break, giving him time to read up on all the last-minute arrivals before the next broadcast of Match of the Day, but he seems excited about one addition already.
But it’s not a player arriving at his old clubs Spurs or Everton or his first love Leicester City.

We love Twitter’s commitment to what amounts to Christmas Day for young fans and clean-shaven Santa Claus Jim White, but a pen and paper?
Surely a fax machine emoji would be more apt. Or perhaps a miniature Peter Odemwingie stood around looking confused.
Who knows, maybe they tried both of those, only for the files not to arrive in time.
