Max Holloway is loving life as the greatest featherweight on Planet Earth.
All it took was 11-straight wins for Max Holloway to become the undisputed champion of the UFC’s 145 lb division.
All he had to do was get through Will Chope, Andre Fili, Clay Collard, Akira Corassani, Cole Miller, Cub Swanson, Charles Oliveira… *pauses to take a breath* Jeremy Stephens, Ricardo Lamas and former lightweight king Anthony Pettis for ‘Blessed’ to get a crack at the belt.
In his title unification bout with Jose Aldo at UFC 212, he seized his first chance with both hands by dismantling the living legend and finishing him in the third round via TKO.

He’s finally reached the summit, but he’s not done yet. As Holloway has stated before, he doesn’t want to just hold the belt, he wants to break records.
For his first defence, the Hawaiian is expected to take on another former champ in the form of Frankie Edgar. ‘The Answer’ is the number-two contender after scoring back-to-back wins over Stephens and Yair Rodriguez respectively. Although that fight has yet to be confirmed, it is rumoured to be in the works for the UFC 217 card which is scheduled for New York’s Madison Square Garden on November 4.
Whoever Holloway defends his belt against first, he will be entering the battle with fresh war paint. He shared an image of himself gloving up before a sparring session on his social media profiles which showcased a huge new arm piece that looks fit for a champ.
