But… but… we thought it was forever…
Sad news, Love Island fans: Alex and Montana are no more. Not dead – just no longer an item.
Having strongly denied a report that they’d split within days of the show’s final last month, Montana has now confirmed that the pair have indeed gone their separate ways with a tweet on Tuesday morning.
‘Making our relationship work on the outside has been hard,’ admitted Montana. ‘He hasn’t been the same since coming out of the villa.
‘Despite this we are still close and I will always support him.’

Minutes later, Alex sent a similar tweet.
‘It’s been very hard on the outside to make us work how we desired,’ he explained. ‘I still have strong feelings towards her and will be remaining close friends and supporting her throughout everything.’
