Everton has revealed a new sleeve sponsor today.
Their kit will now feature sponsorship from Angry Birds, the incredibly popular – and incredibly addictive – mobile game.

And while you might think being sponsored by a massive internationally-famous app might be a good thing for the club, the announcement has, how shall we say, ruffled the feathers of a few Everton fans.
Why? Because the Angry Birds mascot is a red bird, and of course Liverpool play in red and have the red Liver Bird on their crest. Everton’s social media were quick to point out that it’ll just be the Angry Birds logo on the kit, not an actual red bird.
That hasn’t stopped them getting some angry tweets though…
Why didn't you use the bird that splits into three, at least he's blue !!! 😡😡😡

But he is now a Blue, like your good self George. #RedIsABlue

There will be no red on the Everton kit – it will be the @AngryBirds logo, as modelled by Red in the launch graphic. #RedIsABlue

There are plenty of Evertonians who don’t see what the fuss is all about though.
People fuming the birds red? 😂 it doesn’t fucking matter get a grip.

Haha, this is brilliant. Can't believe anyone is sad enough to have a moan at this.

Some even think Red could make the first team.
Finally we have signed wingers!
