Everyone’s favourite right foot, football’s good guy, the world’s man crush is back and he’s about to star in a docuseries that will make for fascinating viewing.
Xabi Alonso hung up his football boots at the age of 35 and left a hole in our lives as big as the one he left in the Bayern engine room but he did okay with his time gracing football pitches with his effortless genius.

The midfield legend has taken charge of the newly-formed Tango Squad FC and, from now until the end of the season, adidas Football will be running a documentary series broadcasting the progression of the team picked from trialists across Europe and their new manager, Xabi Alonso.
The show launches on Monday 16 October, the same date that couples all over the globe will have to invite a third party into the relationship because, let’s face it, there’s no substitute for Xabi Alonso.
