Shame on you for reading that headline and visiting this page. You’re almost as bad as we are for writing this.
Never mind the result at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night. Never mind the circumstances in which it came to be, either.
Nope. Ignoring all the really important details of Tottenham’s 3-2 defeat to West Ham in the Carabao Cup, here’s a video and a couple of hundred words or so about a supporter spectacularly failing to catch Mark Noble’s sweat-drenched match shirt after the final whistle…
The West Ham skipper and his teammates made their way over to the away fans following their memorable victory, applauding them for their support. Not only this, Noble also saw fit to remove his shirt and toss it in their direction.
And then it happens.
The fan’s attempts to snatch the shirt are unsuccessful and he swiftly loses his balance and tumbles over the row of Wembley seats in front of him – to the brief amusement of Sky Sports’ Simon Thomas.
Noble walks towards the changing rooms and the camera follow him. Needless to say, we hope the supporter (and the guy he appears to take down with him) have not been hurt by the incident.
