It is, in fact, the most wonderful time of the year.
You can whinge and moan about tinsel and Christmas music appearing in the shops before the month of December has even started, that’s your prerogative. But every year there’s one thing we can’t wait to see back on the high street: the Greggs Festive Bake.
One of the best things about Christmas is all the special festive foodstuffs coming out, and one of the best of the best is the Greggs Festive Bake.
We’re talking chicken breast, bacon, pork stuffing, cranberry and onion relish in a creamy white sage sauce wrapped in a light puff pastry. Holy macaroni, it is an absolute delight, and one that we can’t wait to get our chompers around.
The good news is that you won’t have to wait long: the Festive Bake is back in Greggs on Thursday November 9 – that’s next week!
But it’s not just the Festive Bake that’s returning, it’s the entire Christmas menu. That includes the turkey, bacon and cranberry roll, the Christmas lunch sandwich and Christmas lunch toastie, the Christmas lunch soup, mince pies, Christmas tree biscuits – there’s almost too much!
The days are getting shorter, the air is getting colder, the skies are getting greyer, but it’s all okay, because the Festive Bake is nearly back. Merry Christmas indeed.
