It’s not who you’d imagine.
Let’s get one thing straight. Dele Alli is fully committed to Spurs and thoroughly enjoys life at White Hart Lane. That said, he is one of the most exciting midfield talents in world football and would walk into nearly every starting eleven in Europe’s top 5 leagues.
Few players in the modern game are able to combine the former Milton Keynes Dons star’s natural talent and flair with such a combative attitude and committed work ethic. He is playmaker, goalscorer, and midfield engine room all rolled into one, and still only 21.
If you factor in that his relatively low weekly wage at Spurs is far below his actual market value, it’s little wonder that he’s highly coveted by all the biggest clubs in the world. Which is why is recent comments to the Bild newspaper will come as music to the ears of a certain European super club.
Alli has admitted a huge soft spot/admiration for Bayern Munich, and admits that he even chooses to play as them on FIFA 18. He raves about their ‘quality’ and ‘incredible players’, whilst waxing lyrical about the Bundesliga.
As you can see from his comments below, it sounds a wee bit like a come-and-get-me plea…
“You just have to look at the story. Bayern will always be one of the strongest teams in the world. They bring so much quality to the field, have incredible players. It would not be my wish to play against them in the next round.
“I talked a bit about the Bundesliga with Leroy Sané and Kevin Wimmer, and saw German clubs in the Champions League.
“At FIFA on the console, I also play with Bayern. The Bundesliga will always remain a competitor, even if it is currently not doing so well internationally.”
