While everyone in the UK freaks out over 2 inches of snow, buses and trains are cancelled and everybody’s Facebook timeline is saturated with pictures of frankly terrible snowmen, the Germans never let a little snow get in the way of anything.

The snow has been falling heavily in Cologne and in today’s fixture between FC Köln and Freiburg, the home side were awarded a penalty but struggled to find the spot under all the snow.
The referee resorted to measuring the distance with his feet and taking a rough guess.
"Where's the penalty spot?"

The penalty was converted, putting Köln 2-0 up within 25 minutes and their lead was extended to three after a Freiburg own goal on the 29 minute mark.
The visitors then came back and completed a spectacular comeback, winning 4-3 after a hat-trick from Nils Petersen.
Köln will be kicking themselves after throwing away such a lead, as they remain bottom of the Bundesliga on a measly 3 points, 11 behind 17th placed Werder Bremen.
The win for Freiburg takes them up to relegation play-off spot of 16th, on 15 points, only behind Hamburg on goal difference.
Köln look to be already cut too far adrift of the pack but as for Freiburg, they are still well in the fight for survival.
