EastEnders fans looking for their usual Friday night fix will be majorly disappointed to learn that the show has been cancelled tonight. Amid a huge heist storyline, none the less.
Yep, in its place, BBC have instead scheduled live coverage of the live FA Cup Third round tie between Liverpool and Everton. The show itself has yet to break the news to fans, but TV listings shows the match – which kicks off at 8pm – will be shown in its place on BBC One.
Although there’ll be understandable disappointment amongst avid EastEnders viewers, the four screenings they’ve already had this week should at least help soften the blow.
The next episode of EastEnders will screen on BBC One on Monday January 8, in its usual 8pm slot.
