If this really is the name of the new Top Gear show, Jeremy Clarkson has excelled himself.
One of the conditions of the deal that will see Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond launch a new Top Gear equivalent on Amazon Prime is that the three presenters get enough freedom to make the kind of show they want to make.
Perhaps this freedom has lead to the three giving the programme its rumoured new name.
‘Gear Knobs’, is just the sort of thing you might expect the trio to come up with and according to BuzzFeed, it was registered as a trademark by Jeremy Clarkson’s law firm just two weeks before plans with Amazon Prime were unveiled.
Of course, programmes don’t have to go with the title they are registered as, and it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Clarkson and his little boys club think they’re being really amusing.
Just like this Tweet from James May.
Here I am again, looking like a nob. #YouAreWelcome pic.twitter.com/mPcs7Kwe2g
