If it’s half as good as Peaky Blinders, we’re in for a treat!
After announcing his plans to make A Christmas Carol with Tom Hardy, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is definitely a man that’s in demand.
With news that the Shelby gang will be coming back for another season – not to mention those rumours about a film and musical – Knight’s stock has been in the ascendancy and after dazzling us with the world of gangsters, he’s now turning his remarkable talents to sci-fi.
Screen Daily have reported that Knight’s new show, See, has been commisioned by Apple. Francis Lawrence (Constantine, The Hunger Games series) is already attached to direct.
Regarding the plot, See is described as a future-set world-building drama and it’s set for a run of eight episodes.
Knight’s new show joins a slate of scripted shows at Apple that already includes a Jennifer Aniston/Reese Witherspoon dramedy, a reboot of anthology show Amazing Stories from Steven Spielberg, and a space drama from Ronald D Moore.
Hell, if it’s even half as good as Peaky Blinders and Taboo, we’re in for a treat.
