Rebekah Shelton has confirmed that her Twitter was hacked and that she is alive.
The Big Brother star’s account had previously tweeted saying that the Brazilian woman had died “unexpectedly” and asked people to respect her family’s privacy.
Rebekah has since shared a video of herself on Twitter confirming that she is alive and that her lawyer is “working on this.”
She has also deleted the false tweet.

In the video, she said:
“Hi everyone, I would to kindly ask you to please stop spreading the news that I’m dead because obviously I’m not.
“I’ve been through hell today because somebody used my Twitter account to write that stupid status about me.
“This person can’t accept the fact that I’m happy and that I overcame all my problems and that I’m living my life happy.
“I’m on holiday and I’m not dead.”
Following the original false tweet, tributes began pouring in for Rebekah.
The story had been picked up by multiple major news outlets.
