It’s about to be a ‘Killer’ summer!

Okay, if you haven’t already guessed by the use of clever (or so we think) puns, The Killers have just been announced as one of this year’s headliners for Latitude Festival.

In its 13th year, Latitude will take place Thursday July 12th – Sunday July 15th in the stunning grounds of Henham Park, Suffolk. Recently awarded Best Major Festival by UK Festival Awards, Latitude returns with yet another stellar lineup that is sure to satisfy your urge to experience the best in music, comedy, theatre, food and culture.

Aside from The Killers, the other two headliners announced are Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Solange and English indie rock band Alt-J.

After having to pull out of last year’s AfroPunk Festival in South Africa due to an autonomic disorder, it’s good to see Solange back on the festival circuit, and what better place to start than Latitude? The R&B/soul maven released her critically acclaimed A Seat at the Table album in 2016 and hasn’t looked back since. It’s an album she describes as “a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief, and healing”. Hearing her perform it live will be essential viewing and listening for fans of authentic music with depth.

Alt-J return to Latitude after performing on the Lake Stage back in 2012, then the BBC Music Stage in 2013, and then headlining in 2015 on Latitude’s 10th anniversary.

“We are over the moon to be returning to Latitude for a fourth time,” the band said. “It’s a festival that’s nurtured us beyond any other, taking us from the Lake Stage to the 6music Stage and then to headlining in 2015. To do so again is a huge privilege. See you in Suffolk!”

The Killers will headline Latitude for the first time. Part-rock show, part-art extravaganza, The Killers, led by charismatic frontman Brandon Flowers, are sure to bring something very special to this year’s lineup with much loved hits “The Man”, “When You Were Young”, and of course “Mr. Brightside”.

Other names on the bill include The Vaccines, Benjamin Clementine, Rag’n’Bone Man, Jessie Ware, The Charlatans, and Mogwai, to name but a few.

Aside from Mo Gilligan and Bridget Christie on the comedy lineup, Harry Hill makes his Latitude debut. The national treasure said: “I like latitude, I like longitude, but which is better? There’s only one way to find out – play the comedy arena at Latitude! I can’t wait!”
