Ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky is a household name all across North America, but it seems those on this side of the pond aren’t quite as familiar with him.
Gretzky is one of the world’s most decorated sportsmen, and Spurs invited him to White Hart Lane as a guest of honour ahead of the League Cup meeting with Arsenal.
To show their appreciation for the Canadian, the club even sorted him out a personalised Tottenham home shirt – just a shame they didn’t check how he spells his surname first.
Gretzky tried to hide his embarrassment, but behind the calm exterior you can see him giving someone in the background a bit of a glare – and who can blame him? It’s almost as bad as calling him American.
