It’s on!
Fresh from his all-conquering turn as ErikĀ Killmonger – arguably the greatest villain in the MCU’s cinematic history – Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan is about to step back into the ring.
After Ryan Coogler confirmed his reasons for not returning to direct Creed 2,Ā Steven Caple Jr.is the man behind the lens as Adonis Creed, Rocky Balboa and even the Drago family get set to lace up those gloves once again.
As he regularly does, Stallone gave his Instagram followers an update about the production schedule and he confirmed that the cameras start rolling on Creed 2 at the end of the month.
Stallone is a very busy man though because he’s also got another property in the works, The Expendables 4.
Granted, we’ve no idea what the hell this group of action heroes will be doing – ‘The Expendables vs gigantic robots that can travel through time’ sounds like a fun night at the cinema – but the veteran mercenaries will also be coming back.
We’ve already seen the likes of Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis get in on the action, but after The Expendables 3 was shot as a PG-13, it’s clear what the fans want to see.
Blood, bullets and bad language!
Stallone and Schwarzenegger had previously ruled out a return to the franchise, but it seems like a fourth film is going ahead.
In an interview withĀ The Arnold Fans,Ā co-star Randy Couture confirmed the next sequel is aiming for an August start date for filming: “Iām excited about Expendables 4. Right now, weāre scheduled to start filming in August and hopefully weāre able to stay on schedule. It sounds like weāre coming back to Bulgaria, which is exciting. Iāve spend a lot of time in Sofia and Varna and Iām excited to come back. I love the people (there), I love the food and Iām excited to come back,” he said.
There’s no stopping Stallone.
