Prince Philip, a man who manages to simultaneously be both an EU immigrant and the most Brexit member of the royal family, has had his say on Netflix’s The Crown.
Despite it having been previously reported that The Queen herself and the Earl and Countess of Wessex enjoyed watching the first season of the show, it turns out not all of the Royals were as impressed.
In a recent interview with the Observer, actor Matt Smith explained that a friend of his was at a dinner event with the Royals, when Prince Philip asked him: “What do you do? Are you involved in this Crown thing?”
Although that friend wasn’t, he decided to ask him his opinion of it anyway. He said: “Philip, I’m just wondering, because I have some friends who made The Crown, have you watched any?”
To which The Duke reportedly replied: “Don’t be ridiculous.”
