Some big names have been mentioned.
With the news today that Declan Donnelly is having a baby along with the ongoing controversy surrounding his fellow presenter, Ant McPartlin, there were rumours that the duo would be axed from everyone’s favourite show for watching minor celebrities eat kangaroo genitalia –Â I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
An ITV spokesperson has since rubbished reports that the Geordie pair are leaving the show, but it hasn’t stopped fans speculating on who should replace them, if, heaven forbid, they were to hang up their cargo shorts and leave the jungle for good.
Holly Willoughby is, of course, the fan’s favourite to take the reigns should ITV decide to make changes to the long-running series.
Fans don’t seem too concerned whether she brings Philip Schofield along for the ride as well, but still. A bit of company is always nice.
Another suggestion has been Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt, who won the 16th season of the show in 2016 and even presented the companion show Extra Camp last time around.
Elsewhere the usual suspects are all linked with the job, from talent show specialists Dermot O’Leary, Cat Deeley and Emma Willis, to more ambitious shouts, like Stephen Mulhern (who appears on Saturday Night Takeaway with the pair) and Caroline Flack.
Moffatt is currently a 2/1 favourite with bookmakers, with Holly & Phil at 4/1 and Dermot O’Leary at 6/1.
