Relive the magic of Julio Geordio, Kevin & Perry and loads more

For comedy fans of a certain age, there was always something a bit taboo about watching Harry Enfield and Chums. If you stayed up late to watch it, the most recent episode was always the topic of discussion at school the next morning and since the sketch show first aired in 1990, it has firmly established its cult status.

Who doesn’t love Julio Geordio casually mentioning his ‘human sandwich’ orgy with the Spice Girls, Harry beating the crap out of his little sister Lulu, Kevin’s teenage strops about life being ‘sooooo unfair’ and Tim Nice-But-Dim’s socially clueless antics?

In case you’re not familiar with it, the show was first broadcast on BBC Two in 1990 and featured plenty of Enfield’s frequent collaborators but the biggest contributors were the incredibly talented duo of Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke.

Since ending in 1998, the show continues to find a new audience due to its mix of oddball characters and surreal comedy. The Fast Show is arguably the better sketch show, just our opinion folks, but there’s still plenty to love in Harry Enfield and Chums.

Truth be told, it’s worth watching just for the character of Julio Geordio – the wildest striker on Tyneside since Faustino Asprilla!

If you’re looking for even more Harry Enfield comedy, the online streaming giant has also added his other show, Harry Enfield Presents, to their library.

Enjoy!
