By now you’ve probably seen the trailer for Ronaldo’s upcoming movie, directed by the team that brought us the wonderful Senna documentary.
Everything points to the film being a poignant yet heartwarming account of the Portuguese forward’s inspiring rise from impoverished street kid to world superstar.
Which is precisely why it is ripe for the p**s take. The chaps at TFRÂ have spliced together the trailer with Lionel Messi supposedly commenting on the footage – and the result is brilliant.
Messi is shown grinning and scoffing at the overblown hyperbole of the narrative, whilst getting a few digs in about who’s really the best.
As much as we’re genuinely looking forward to Ronnie’s documentary, this is great craic…
