It’s the largest cooked breakfast available in a supermarket cafe
Let’s be honest here, they’re a mixed bag, supermarket cafes.
The food is pretty much the closest thing you get to having a pre-Jamie Oliver school dinner, so in a way, it’s hard not to be nostalgic when you eat there. But at the same time, it’s as if the food has systematically had any and all moisture removed via the process of being left in the hot tray for hours on end.
It’s dry is what I’m saying. Really, really dry.
But still, it’s hard not to get excited about the fact Morrisons are launching a huge 19-piece breakfast that includes three rashers of bacon, three pork sausages, three hash browns, two half slices of fried bread, two fried eggs, two half tomatoes, two black puddings, baked beans and sliced mushrooms.
The fry-up, which has 8 items more than the Morrisons’ standard big breakfast, is just £6.
Helen Tordoff, Head of Cafés at Morrisons, said: “Our standard cooked breakfast is one of our most popular meals on the menu, but customers have asked for one that’s even bigger.
“The ‘Big Daddy Breakfast’ is an excellent choice for customers with a big appetite.”
It will be available in all the supermarkets’ in-store cafes from 28 May.
I hope your appetites will be sated now, guys.
