From one superstar to another

Conor McGregor and Paul Pogba have quite a bit in common.

Both announced themselves in their respective sports as elite-level prospects at an early age, both are as famous for their personalities as they are for their performances and both will always do things their own way.

Conor McGregor might not hold a world title right now but he will go down in mixed martial arts history as the first man to hold a UFC title in two separate weight classes simultaneously.

More than most fighters, ‘The Notorious’ knows the kind of dedication it takes to become a world champion and on the eve of the World Cup final, McGregor sent his best wishes to France’s Pogba.

From his private jet on his 30th birthday, the Irishman took a moment to deliver a friendly message to the Manchester United midfielder ahead of the biggest game of his life.

“What’s up, Pogba? I just wanted to get on and say best of luck in the World Cup final tomorrow, my brother!” McGregor said.

France will meet Croatia in Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium in the 21st Fifa World Cup final, with immortality awaiting the winners.

It sure looks like McGregor will be rooting for Les Bleus, being such a big fan of Pogba, and the feeling is most definitely mutual.

Back in 2016, the charismatic midfielder paid tribute to McGregor’s trademark strut at France training.
