It starts tonight so grab your mates
If you missed out on the opportunity to spend Halloween at Hogwarts, we’ve got the next best thing for you because you don’t need to walk onto Platform 9 3/4 to get some magic into your life.
The Boy Who Lived is back on your TV and if you’re looking for the perfect Saturday afternoon watch, ITV have just the thing in store.
Not even a Dementor could bring those spirits down because the TV station will be showing every single Harry Potter film over the next eight weeks.
Hell, with such a great marathon, the only thing that’s missing is a spell to magically make popcorn and Maltesers appear.
Ready to feel old? It has been 17 years since film fans saw Harry Potter search for the Philosopher’s Stone – that bit with Voldemort protruding out of the back of Professor Quirrell’s head traumatised some people – and truth be told, the saga continued to improve and improve.
This being said, we won’t talk about the Deathly Hallows – Part One and those scenes in the forrest, will we?
If you’ve never seen the films – wait, there are people like that? – or if you just want to relive the magic, the eight-week marathon starts at 17:50 on ITV1.
The following week will see The Chamber of Secrets on September 15, and then The Prisoner of Azkaban on September 22, and so on. It all accumulates the weekend before Halloween with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on October 27.
Personal opinion, Goblet of Fire is the best film. I’m expecting a cue of angry Death Eaters and Slytherins to arrive at my door now.
Anyway, accio fun!
Pack that trunk, grab your cloak and avoid putting your wand in your back pocket. We're heading #BackToHogwarts. 🧙♂️
