A revolutionary new development in advent calendar technology
Christmas is coming. Yes, Halloween isn’t even here yet, but still, Christmas is coming. Just accept it. Decorations are already in the shops. Christmas ads will be on the TV soon. Prepare to hear Mariah Carey and Wham! nonstop for the next few months.
The first thing you need to sort for Christmas though, before worrying about presents or where you are going for lunch, is your advent calendar.
Traditionally, they should have chocolate in them, right? Think again. Earlier this week, we told you about the Pringles advent calendars, that gave you crisps instead of chocs.
But Sainsbury’s are living in 3018. Recently spotted on their shelves have been pork crackling advent calendars. Yes, really.
Made by the Snaffling Pig Co, they sold out last year, but are back for 2018. A3 sized, they contain 24 bags of crackling, in six different flavours: Pigs In Blankets, Low & Slow BBQ, Maple, Black Pepper, Salt ‘N’ Vinegar and Perfectly Salted.
They cost £17.50, and as well as being available in supermarkets, they can be bought on the company’s website.
And if that’s not big enough for you, they also do a pork cracking and beer advent calendar. Costing £65 and standing half a metre high, it contains 12 bogs of cracking, and 12 Meantime beers.
