Love Island fans got an extra dose of drama this morning after Dani Dyer ‘announced’ an engagement to cockney charmer Jack Fincham.
Of course using a GIF… on Twitter…because it’s not real love without monkey Emojis and animated hearts, unless you’re Jess and Dom, then you just do it the classy way and get married on Good Morning Britain.
But Dani was quick to disappoint fans this morning tweeting out that it was a joke. However, she wasn’t the only accomplice in this evil plan, it was all down to Capital’s breakfast host, Roman Kemp, who asked Dani to prank her over one million social media followers.
Live on air, Dani revealed that her not-fiancé-still-boyfriend was still fast asleep in bed whilst she made the ‘announcement’ early this morning. I guess he knows more about selling pens than buying rings.
In the Island, Jack and Dani were the modern day Romeo and Juliet, except they replaced the rival families with ITV contestants who fought for the best clothing lines and sponsored Instagram posts.
But we can all thank the social media God’s that 2016 contestants, that the cries of fans will be minimised as Alex and Olivia aren’t done with sharing their wedding pictures yet.
