The list of medical suspensions for fighters competing on the UFC 229 card has been released.

Five fighters have been issued with potential six-month suspensions after a brutal card which saw seven bouts end by either knockout or TKO and one by submission.

The one that finished via submission was the main event between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, the lightweight title fight which is widely considered to be the biggest bout in UFC history.

Nurmagomedov escaped unscathed in the medical suspension department, having sustained very little damage before ultimately cinching up a neck-crank and drawing the tap from McGregor.

The Irishman has received a one-month medical suspension, with no contact until October 28, but ‘The Notorious’ got off lightly when you look at how long Anthony Pettis will be out for.

Pettis was pulled out of his co-main event clash with Tony Ferguson by his corner before the third round after sustaining a brutal beating and breaking his hand in the second.

‘Showtime’ has been medically suspended until next April unless he gets medical clearance on a nasal fracture suffered in the defeat.

Dominick Reyes (left leg), Jalin Turner (nasal fracture), Scott Holtzman (right hand, right foot) and Alan Patrick (left orbital) are also looking at long spells on the sidelines.

Below is the full list of medical suspensions:
