Let the mind games begin.
Conor McGregor has confirmed that he won’t be doing any more public appearances unless it’s UFC scheduled after various tours around Ireland in the last few weeks ahead of UFC 194 in December.
The Dubliner was involved in an event earlier this week, but is now in full-time training for the showdown with Jose Aldo in Las Vegas on December 12.
McGregor has kept the the fires burning in his war of words with the Brazilian, and now the long-term featherweight champion has discussed what he intends to do to the Irishman when the two fighters eventually do come face-to-face in the octagon in a just over six weeks time.
Speaking to Bloody Elbow, Aldo says he plans to inflict some serious pain on McGregor…
“My goal is to win, that’s my focus. Nothing more than that. You can be sure I will hurt him like I have never done to anyone before. I’m sure he will leave the fight all busted up and I will leave with another victory.”
Aldo was recently a surprise guest on the TUF with McGregor understood to be unhappy with the Brazilian appearing on the show.
The MMA legend feels that the pressure is increasing on the Dubliner, and that McGregor is a different person when the cameras are turned on…
“He likes to taunt. He sees a camera and then he puts on a little show. When I appeared by surprise in the TUF house, he reached his hand out to shake mine and I thought we were going to fight right there. He complained to Dana (White) and Lorenzo (Fertitta). He said he was set up. “
