A Brooklyn precinct commander told his officers to shoot the rapper ‘on sight’
50 Cent is reportedly considering legal action after it has emerged that a New York Police Department commander told police officers under his control to shoot the rapper ‘on sight’.
Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez, commanding officer of Sunset Park’s 72nd Precinct, allegedly made the comments during a police roll call in the summer.
Gonzalez is said to have given the message to his officers on June 7 – the date of the ‘Bronx Smoker’, a boxing event 50 Cent was set to attend to watch two police officers who ‘had beef’ fight it out.
The police department confirmed that the matter is under internal investigation.
50 Cent, meanwhile, has posted on his Instagram about the incident repeatedly since Sunday:

In one post the Power star said: “I take this threat very seriously and im [sic] consulting with my legal counsel regarding my options moving forward. I am concerned that I was not previously advised of this threat by the NYPD. #NYnotSafe#TheGangstagotabadge”

According to the New York Post the rapper and the Brooklyn commander have a history, with Gonzalez trying to squeeze 50 Cent for gifts.
The club owner of 50 Cent’s Love & Lust nightclub in Brooklyn, Imran Jairam, claimed the cops and State Liquor Authority ‘unfairly targeted’ the business when he didn’t give Gonzalez what he’d requested.
50 Cent then appeared to retaliate in a since-deleted Instagram post in May, writing ‘Get the strap’.
The president of the Captains Endowment Association told TMZ that Gonzalez never instructed his officers to shoot the rapper.
