Harry Redknapp contradicts himself about Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp (Video)

What?!

We wish Harry Redknapp would make up his mind.

Last month, the former QPR and Spurs manager was scathing about Liverpool’s playing staff. He called it the “worst Liverpool team in years”. If you don’t believe us here’s the footage…

When Brendan Rodgers was relieved of his duties, Redknapp claimed he “should not have been sacked by Liverpool” and that his mate Brendan was a “victim of modern football”.

Then, this Friday, he argued that Jurgen Klopp had had no real impact at Liverpool, arguing: “I don’t see how Klopp has made any difference at all yet. I heard people after his first game at Tottenham saying you could see the change in Liverpool. How?”

Now, on Saturday – following Liverpool’s 3-1 away win at Chelsea – Redknapp has suddenly decided there is “no reason why” Liverpool can’t qualify for the Champions League…

So in summary:

  • In September this was the worst Liverpool side in years;
  • Liverpool were wrong to sack Brendan Rodgers, who managed the worst Liverpool side in years;
  • Jurgen Klopp has made no difference to the worst Liverpool side in years;
  • But suddenly there’s no reason why the worst Liverpool side in years can’t finish in the top 4.

Hmm…
