We finally have an official start date for Love Island 2019

Rebecca O'Keeffe

It seems to come around sooner every year

Yesterday, presenter Caroline Flack kind of let slip the start date for Love Island 2019.

Flack, who revealed that filming for the highly-anticipated summer series was underway last month, shared a series of behind-the-scenes snaps on Instagram Stories as she filmed promos this week.

“I have just trained with (her boyfriend) Bradley Simmonds and he put me through utter hell,” she said.

“Making me do weights that I should not be lifting but he says we only have three weeks before Love Island starts or for Love Island prep, so we’ve got to work hard.”

“To be fair I feel more sorry for Bradley having to put up with my moaning than me having to put up with the training.”

We know, that isn’t a real and actual date. But you know what is a real date? 3 June.

Yep, 3 June is when Love Island will be making its glorious return to our television screens, and sure we’re only delighted.

Tens of thousands of people are already thought to have applied to be on this years series.

And while there’s still no word just yet as to who will be going into the famous villa this summer, there have been a few names linked to this series – including Big Brother’s Lotan Carter and Rochelle Humes’ sister Lili.
