The United Kingdom’s death toll associated with coronavirus now sits officially at over 37,000, though ONS figures state that excess deaths are now approaching something closer to 60,000.

Tens of thousands of people have died in the UK that should not have died, and perhaps would not have died had the country’s government acted with more urgency in doing all it could to contain the spread of the virus.
