It’s the last news Liverpool fans needed to hear after the club’s top four ambitions were dealt another blow against Crystal Palace.
Mamadou Sakho has now pulled out of France’s squad and could be facing a spell on the sidelines after leaving the field early with a knee injury.
The Frenchman has been the most consistent defender since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield but was forced off before half-time and left the ground on crutches.

The club will learn the extent of Sakho’s injury following a scan, but Klopp told the media after the Palace game: “We don’t want to speculate, but we have to wait for scan. I’d rather lose 4-1 and keep him in the team.”
