Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?
COVID-19 guidelines unfortunately prevent us from being in his kitchen right now, but thanks to social media we’ve still got a pretty good idea what The Rock likes to eat before a workout.
The Rock is no stranger to the weights room. A star of Fast & Furious, Moana and Jumanji, he has kept himself in seriously good shape during lockdown, working out at the home gym he calls The Iron Paradise.
Although he’s only been a bit-part wrestler for the last 15 years, he still attacks the gym with the same intensity as he did in his prime.
Real name Dwayne Johnson, he is one of the most motivated trainers around, routinely revealing his workout and diet hacks for the benefit of his 200 million Instagram followers.
Regarding nutrition, he recently shared the breakfast he wolfs down before a leg session.

The Rock’s pre-workout breakfast
We’ve got:
- Cream of rice with added honey
- Toasted bagel
- Whole eggs (scrambled)
- Seasoned buffalo meat
Feeling peckish? If you weren’t already, you probably are now.
The Rock didn’t declare how many calories are in his breakfast – so we had a look on Myfitnesspal. It looks like this amounts to around 900 calories minimum – almost half the 2000 calorie recommended daily intake for men.
That is one hefty breakfast – but The Rock’s putting all those calories to good use in the gym.
We previously took a look at some of his favourite leg exercises.
Ahead of the upcoming US presidential election, The Rock has endorsed the Democratic nominee, Joe Biden.
The Rock gave his support to Biden and running mate Kamala Harris with a video message posted to his socials.
As a political independent & centrist, I’ve voted for both parties in the past. In this critical presidential election, I’m endorsing @JoeBiden & @KamalaHarris.
Progress takes courage, humanity, empathy, strength, KINDNESS & RESPECT.

He said: “As a registered Independent for years now with centrist ideologies, I do feel that Vice President Biden and Senator Harris are the best choice to lead our country – and I am endorsing them to become President and Vice President of our United States.”
