Floyd Mayweather has never been one to mince his words, especially when it comes to Ronda Rousey.
The undefeated boxing champ has been embroiled in a war of words with Rousey for some time, most recently suggesting her appearance on the cover of The Ring magazine made boxing look bad.
With that in mind, ‘Money’ was the last person we expected to take the UFC star’s side after her shock defeat to Holly Holm, but that’s exactly what happened.
Speaking to FightHype, Mayweather opened up about the internet abuse received by ‘Rowdy’ after the loss, acknowledging that “A true champion can take a loss and bounce back.
“People will love you on Friday and then Sunday morning, it’s nothing but negative comments and people making jokes and people making fun about you, which I don’t think is cool,” he said.
He also debunked the recent 50 Cent Instagram post which was said to have been shared at his request, saying: “I haven’t really spoke to anyone about the Ronda Rousey situation, just to set the record straight.”
