England’s rivalry with France runs deep.
You can probably trace it as far back as 1066 when the Normans invaded our Sceptred Isle.
But it was incredible to see this rivalry put to one side by football fans in a defiant show of strength and solidarity as England lined up against France at Wembley.
England players stood shoulder to shoulder with Les Bleus.
And it was an incredible moment as both sets of fans joined in singing France’s national anthem in the wake of terrorist atrocities where 129 people lost their lives.
A minute’s silence fell beneath Wembley’s arch, which was illuminated in the Red, White and Blue of the French Tricolor, and it was observed impeccably.
This was the response to England fans’ grand gesture of solidarity…
